White as Wool

A few months ago as I was reading my Bible I suddenly realized a fact that I had missed. Remember the story of Rahab in the Bible? She was a prostitute but she was also in the lineage of Jesus.

None of us are perfect. We were all born into a sinful world and pretending we are perfect will not work. Only God is perfect. Every one of us sins and does things that we regret but God promises to forgive us of our sins and to make us white as wool.

"Come now," says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool." Isaiah 1:18

All we have to do is face our sins and ask the God of the universe to cleanse us so we can become as white as wool. God wants to do this for each of us. May we be unafraid to face God and to ask Him to cleanse us from our sins.
