Keep Pressing On

There are times life requires that we simply push through things and do them despite hardships and difficulties. When I think about this thought, I'm reminded of my daughter. Academics were challenging because of her learning difficulties and her long standing history of medical issues that caused her to feel miserable everyday of her life for years. But despite feeling rotten, she was still required to complete her homeschool work. Because she had so many bad days I knew she wouldn't have gotten anything accomplished for years if I'd continually given in to her not feeling good. We pushed through these days and she still did school work. She fought through her learning challenges as well. The years of fighting taught her determination and she continues to pursue her dreams. Her hard work finally paid off. Soon she will be graduating with a 4.0 GPA.

We may have difficulties in our way but we must not give up. Philippians 3:13, 14 says, "But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." Don't lose heart. Keep pressing on!
