Prayer Warriors Like Daniel

Daniel has always been a character in the Bible that I've admired. He was a man of faith and a mighty prayer warrior. As a child I always loved hearing my mom read about Daniel. Despite hardship and persecution he never lost faith and he never lost hope. He was persecuted and an order was given not to pray but he didn't give in. He continued praying to God three times per day so he was thrown into a lion's den. Something bad happened but Daniel didn't lose his faith or belief in God and God intervened in a miraculous way. The Bible says in Daniel 6:19-22, that the king, "called to Daniel in an anguished voice, 'Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to rescue you from the lions?'

"Daniel answered, 'O king, live forever! My God sent His angel, and He shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in His sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong before you, O king.'"

Daniel 6:23 says, "The king was overjoyed and gave orders to lift Daniel out of the den. And when Daniel was lifted from the den, no wound was found on him, because he had trusted in his God."

Daniel was a man of prayer. In Daniel we are told that Daniel fasted and prayed for 21 days. Because of Daniel's fasting and praying, this allowed God to do amazing things.

God needs prayer warriors now more than ever to join in the fight against Satan. He needs us to rise up and be amazing prayer warriors for Him. Spiritual Warfare is real. We have a war raging all around us. The only way to make a change is for us Christians to wake up and fight through fasting and prayer.

Are you willing to be a Daniel? God needs more Daniels in this sin-stricken world so He can send His forces and attack the Devil. He needs us to stand up and pray and fast for our families, for our churches, for our cities, for our communities, for our leaders and for our nation. When we fast and pray God can send out His angels to secure the strongholds that Satan has overtaken. May we be mighty prayer warriors for God just as Daniel was!
